Do we have a moral obligation to the environment? Should states remain pacifist in the face of terrorism? Would cloning a human life be wrong? In this thought-provoking work, Damien Keown shows how Buddhist thought can shed new light on problems the West continues to find difficult and divisive, from animal rights and abortion, to war and euthanasia. This book is ideal for anyone seeking an alternate perspective on the key ethical dilemmas confronting us in society today, and is the perfect companion to Buddhist: A Very Short Introduction.
