He has found a niche for himself in the world of children's literature in India. He has won several national awards and prizes for his work in this field. He has over seventy books to his credit. The National Channel and Delhi Station of AIR invite him often to participate in panel discussions or to present pen portraits of eminent persons or to deliver background talks on topics of importance. He has contributed two sections to Masterpieces of Literature published by NBT. Currently he is Secretary-General of the Indian Society of Authors; Member Advisory Panel of Nehru Bal Pustakalaya, NBT; and Consultant (Publications), CBT.
