Considerable work has been done on the Citrus Classification by various taxonomists in different parts of the world, notably in the United States of America and Japan and brief review of the same with reference to Indian Citrus and Assam Citrus in particular, is probably necessary to explain the basis of the nomenclature as adopted in this treasfise. This book of "Citrus Classification" has been written to meet the requirement of students, teachers and researchers in the field of agriculture. The book has been divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 deals to introduction, chapter 2 and 3 related to subgenus, eucitrus and papeda. Chapters 4th and 5th deals with Newspecies and Probable hybrids respectively. It is hoped that this book prove quite useful to the student, teachers and researcher involved in the study of citrus.
