It has been recorded in the hills upto an elevation of 7000 feet, but it is mainly an inhabitant of the plains, frequenting the open country, often, in the vicinity of human habitations.

Dr. Shiv Dutta is a Reader and Head of the Zoology Department, Narain College, Shikohabad (U.P.). Dr. Dutta is a member of many reptue Journals and has attended many national seminars, work shop and conferences. He has published 15 research which are demanded by researchers world wide. He is a author of a book "Cell Biology". He is guiding research and 9 students have been awarded Ph.D. degree of Dr. B.R.A.
