ABOUT THE AUTHOR B P Chamola
Dr. B.P. Chamola obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Botany from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttaranchal. He has published 13 papers in different journals, symposia and books, he has co-edited ‘Advances in Botany’, ‘Mushrooms of India-Boletaceae’, ‘Red Algae’, Brown Algae’ (APH Publishing Corporation, New Delhi) and edited ‘New Approaches in Microbial Ecology’ (Aditya Books Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi), ‘Integrated Pest and Disease Management’, ’Advances in Microbial Biotechnology’, ‘Glimpses in Botany (APH Publishing Corporation, New Delhi), ‘Biology of Lichens’ (Aravali Books International, New Delhi), ‘Biotechnological Approaches in Biocontrol of Plant Pathogens’, ‘Mycorrhizal Biology’, ‘Biocontrol Potential & its Exploitation in Sustainable Agriculture ‘Vols. His current major interest includes biological control of plant pathogens through AM/VAM fungi and use of these fungi in afforestation of wastre and barren lands. Presently he is involved in teaching and research at the Department of Forestry, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarancal.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR D.S. Chauhan
D.S. Chauhan is presently working as Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. He was founder Vice-Chancellor of UP Technical University for two tenures. He has been member, National Expert Committee MHRD, DST-NABL and member AICTE-NBA and is presently member University Grants Commission. He was also founder Vice-Chacellor of Lovely Professional University for one year. He has served as Vice-Chancellor, Jaypee University of Information Technology. He is a professor of Electrical Engineering, IT, BHU, Varanasi and has been serving there for over three decades. He did his B.Sc. Engg. from BHU, M.E. from Madras University, and Ph.D. from IIT, Delhi, and has been Post Doctoral Fellow, USA. He has 75 research papers published in national and international journals and presented in conferences. He has authored a book and has guided 12 Ph.D. students and advisor to D.Sc. dissertation.
