A lot of information has been generated on morphological, physiological and biochemical aspects of crop plants with our own Indian crop varieties, but they are not compiled in a proper and systematic form which could be utilized by crop scientists in further improvement in yield. These information are valuable and very important. In an effort to put these information in more coherent manner on some important cereals like wheat and rice, pulse such as chickpea and oilseeds such as sunflower and rapeseed mustard, an attempt has been made in this book so that this can provide a useful information to students of crop sciences and crop scientists who can make use of these information in tailoring a crop suitable for different agro climatic conditions.
