Customary Laws of Meitei and Mizo Societies of Manipur

The present book is a comprehensive work on the social systems of some of the ethnic tribes of the North-Eastern Region of India. It throws new light on our understanding of societies. It adds to the knowledge of historical-sociological research. It is an intensive and indepth observation from extensive empirical study, adds to its value. This multidisciplinary work, encompassing two disciplines–customary laws and history of two merging nationalities–the Meiteis and the Mizos in their geopolitical and social settings. The work has gently brought to the fore the interactions of these two societies in the realm of the Customary Laws and evolving social structures.
