In the long drawn political struggle for the attainment of Swaraj, D.P. Mishra played a dominant role along with Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla, a dedicated Congress stalwart in Madhya Pradesh. As his cabinet colleague and, later on, as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mishra’s achievements were unique. He was a fine administrator and did much for the upliftment of his province.
