India has seldom invoked the ‘Defence Policy’ as a distinct structured process. Defence Policy is shaping out of Governmental assessment and option to various emerging state-of-affairs. The present mode of Defence policy has emerged out of individual philosophy of national leaders or a political ideologies of ruling parties. This book has tried to piece together the offshoots of foreign, economic and internal security policy into a National Defence Policy.
