What exactly is Delhi food? To find out, we took a walk around the old city & got the feel of the food eaten in Purani Dilli. The food was rich & varied. Delhi has a very colourful history and has had many different influences on the cuisine and culture of the people. Roaming around the streets of Chandni Chowk, the Jama Masjid areas and Daryaganj, we thoroughly enjoyed the streets foods. We spoke to food-stall owners, the expert cooks in their own specialties, asked them to share their secrets of masalas and other cooking ingredients. We tried out all the recipes and we have penned down these to give you the real, authentic Delhi food!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nita Mehta

Nita Mehta is a Home Science graduate from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University and a Gold Medalist in M.S.
