ABOUT THE AUTHOR Khalid K Faruqi

Khalid Kamal Faruqi is a very senior member in library profession having more than three decades of experience in practical librarianship and teaching of library and information science. He has worked in different capacities like University Archivist, University Librarian in Dr. Zakir Husain Library, Jamia Millia Islamia and currently he is the University Librarian at Hamdard University, New Delhi. He has also been associated with the teaching programme of library and information science since 1986. Dr. Faruqi is the life member of almost all the leading professional bodies in India like ILA, IASLIS and Association of Indian archivist. He has attended a number of conferences and seminars and contributed in articles and books. He has authored, compiled and edited more than half a dozen outstanding books.
