The book is Important in highlighting Buddhism in simple, lucid and expressive style of the Bhanteji. His letters give an idea of how he always looked after the youths of poor and Dalit families, educated them and established their life by looking after them and lonely shouldering their expenses for living, medical and educational facilities. His photos are illustrative of vital activities and his important active role in society, be it eastern or western.
This is the account of his real life situations faced with economic, social and ploitical problems and seeking their pragmatic solutions at imminent junctures during his life time. The author is unredeemedly grateful to him for his impact on his own life during his career of a monk from the year 1972 to year 2000. He learnt Buddhism and Ambedkar Thought closely from him. Due to his recommendations the author sought admission in pursing M.Phil. graduate studies in Lancaster University in England and had done his M.Phil. there By way of dissertation on Dr. ambedkar’s Dhamma-Movement.
I hope this new book will be useful for the researchers, academicians, intellectuals and general and specialized readers in understanding the philosophy of Buddhism and an ideal role of a Buddhist monk as missionary to fulfill the dream of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar to lead the 21st century in its stride towards more egalitarian globe.
