Pharmaceutical Sciences in today’s world is a complex and fast-evolving entity encompassing coverage of so many fields like chemistry, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, anatomy/physiology, medicine, research, logistics, marketing, microbiology, pharmaceutical products, production, aseptic/sterile processing, pharmaceutical engineering, quality control, quality management, regulatory affairs, corporate processes, packaging, etc. As biotechnology has become an undeniable part of the pharmaceutical industry, though it prudent to bring out such a dictionary that combined the two intertwined fields in one volume and at the same time to present the latest and cutting-edge technological terms that are encountered today. The author have dispensed with older and archaic terms for products, processes and concepts that are no longer valid today or are of not much use to the modern pharmaceutical scientists, being mainly of historical importance.
