ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.K.J. Jeevanvv

V.K. J. Jeevan holds Masters degrees in Physics, Library & information Science and Computer Science, and has over ten years of professional experience. He has also qualified the UGC Net for JRF 7 Lectureship and had undergone the year long training in 'Information Technology Application' at the National Centre for Science Information, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He is currently working as Assistant Librarian in the Central Library of Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Kharagpur . He was the recipient of the 'Young Information Scientist Award' by the SIS, New Delhi in 2000; Won Second Prize in the 'Award for Contributing Article' of RRRLF, Kolkata in 2001/2and the PV Varghese Best Paper Award' from ILA in 2002/3. He is specializing in digital libraries, computerized information services, library databases, innovative librarianship, resource sharing, library education and library jobs.. He has credited the 'Proceedings of the National Conference on Information Management in e-Libraries' (IMeL 2002).He is acting as the Moderator of INDIA-LIS, a listserv owned by IFLA, and operated from INIST, France. He is currently an Executive Committee Member of the SIS.
