In the modern world, Disaster Management is a discipline and a part of governance. But, it is the irony that this exercise is quite uncultivated and undeveloped in the developing world, including India, while disasters are more common here. Hence, a need for working on this kind of management. Disaster management is an important activity as it contribute in avoiding uncertainties and reducing frequency of disasters and devastations caused by them. Hopefully, this book, though not voluminous, yet comprehensive and exhaustive in its totality, would create an awareness among all concerned and prove to be a source of enrichment for the general readers.
