ABOUT THE AUTHOR Santosh K. Sharma
Professor Mrs. Sharma secured distinctions in Two Master Degrees from Panjab University. She joined Panjab University Directorate of Correspondence Couses in 1971 as one of its founder member. She created and headed Graduate and Postgraduate Department of Hindi for over 20 years. She did her Ph.D. from Panjab University and D.Litt. from H.P. University on her work realted to Mythological and Hitorical Study related to Fiction. She has widely travelled in India and abroad including U.S.A., U.K. and Countries of West Indies and made her contribution in the fields of Indian Culture, Study of Literatures, and attained expertise in Distance Learning Systems. Being the senior most Professor of the premier institute she was appointed as Chairperson DES (PU) in 1997. She has been recognised as one of the foundrs of Distance Education in this part of the world. professor Mrs. Sharma attained the status of most qualified lady academiction in history of Punjab University. Hon'ble Vice President of India and Chancellor of University nominated her on Panjab University Senate. She also worked as Chairperson and Head of the Department of Russian and Deptt. of South Indian Languages of the University. A celebrated author of numbe rof books and hundreds of papers and Chief Organiser of National Converences, Workshops etc. and recently she is Head of the Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies and Guru Ravidas Chair, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
