The Social Security Association of India was formed in 1991 with the primary object of promoting social security in India. One of the functions of the Association is to maintain a database and to disseminate information concerning social security. In pursuance of this objective the Association has undertaken a number of research projects of which Documentation of Research and Studies on Social Protection is one. This book contains a bibliography of books, reports, articles and laws on social protection classified according to a system which is described in the first chapter. The book is in two parts: the first part consists of the material collected under the Research Project and the second part consists of the material collected subsequently. This is a very useful reference book for those interested in the social security in India.
