The events in this book took place in the year 1981. Until the Supreme Court judgement was delivered in 1986, this account could not be published. Although the events are over a few years old, their freshness is not reduced the slightest. It is after all a human story – almost timeless, and hence dates are incidental. This human drama is abound with sorrow, joy, bravery, timidity, selfishness, self-sacrifices, generosity, villainy, saintliness, treachery etc. etc. All the events are true, a great many as reported in the newspapers, and the dialogues reproduced are authentic.
