In this book an attempt has been made to give a comparative and critical exposition of the dualistic philosophy of Descartes and Samkhya. The author has also given an objective account of the philosophy of these two systems of thought. This book provides an analytical treatment of all the major concepts and ideas underlying the philosophy of these two systems.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nirupma Srivastava
Dr. Nirupma Srivastava is at present Head of the Philosophy Department, Lucknow University, Lucknow. She joined the Department as Lecturer in 1982. Presently, she is a Reader in the Department. She presented several papers in National Conferences and Seminars. Some of her papers have been published in different Journals, others are in the process of publication.
