Early Hindu Civilisation

The early Hindu civilization passed through several stages, from primitive to the Modern Times. The people in the early stages had to struggle very hard in order to set up a society which should be based on useful posture having deep bearing on their socio-religious, economic, political, cultural and educational need. The people had an ardent faith in the Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharta, Upanishads and other religious scriptures. T he societal needs were thus linked with the rituals subscribed in these Hindu religious writings. The contents of the volume have been weaved into five comprehensive chapters including a bibliography of eminent social scientists. The first chapter deals with the Indus Valley civilization, its societal set up, land and the people, their ways of living and social customs. The other four chapters have bearing on the Aryans, their migration process and their socio-economic routine, the vedic thought, their religious rituals, the system of philosophy and several religious beliefs prevalent among them.
