This book is the first attempt, made by Dr. K.S. Bajwa in the European Travels Literature : Historical Analysis Early 19th Century. This work throws light on the works of some of the Europeans who visited Punjab. It throws light on the political social and economic life not only of the Punjab but of the British Doruain as well. The author has also examined critically the motives of their visit to Punjab; how did they live; what did they observe, what did they write about the people of Punjab and also the administrative functioning of the province of the Punjab. This book is important as it is author's first attempt that throws light on the importance their writings as a source of the history of the Sikh's and the Punjab; he has made comparative study of these writing's with other contemporary writings which speak at length about the people and also the conditions of this province. This makes the work more valuable and worth reading in order to now the factual conditions of the people of Punjab.
