Dr. (Mrs.) S. Murty is presently Professor and Head of Economics Department in Vikram University, Ujjain. She has written 16 books on Indian Banking, Advanced Banking, Regionial Disparities inEconoics Development, Changing Indian Economic Order, Structural Transformation of Indian Economy, Money, Inflatiion and Economic Growth, India's International Trade and Rupee Exchange Rate, Financial Sector Reforms and Economic Growth, Economic Reforms and Growth, Economic Growth and Environment, Market Economy and Growth, Multinational Corporation in India, Issues in Indian Economy, Policy Decisiioins for the New World Order. Some Important Issues inIndian Economy, Employment of Women and Child Labour in India. She has published one hundred and fifty papers in various journals, attended several seminars and conferences. Twenty-four research scholars have been awarded Ph.D. under her guidance. Dr. Murty visited the United Kingdom under Young Scientist Exchange Scheme between India and the U.K. She has worked as Academic visitor in London Schools of Economics and Political Science, where she was accorded the status of Academic staff.
