Attempt has also been made to make suggestions to improve the formation and implementation of the biogas development programme in India.

Dr. V.B. Bhise (b. 1955) is a senior professor in the Department of Economics of Dr. Babasahab Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Professor Bhise has contributed to many journals of Economics. He has earlier edited a book on "Economics Reforms and Ninth Five Year Plan." He is an active member of many professional bodies of economists.
