The author has given a detailed account of the relevance of the religion in the modern age. He has shown the Constitutional relevance of religious education in secular India. He has also discussed the relevance of aims and objectives of religious education in the modern age. He has very successfully proved that religious education proved more helpful in developing fighters for freedom of India as compared to modern education. However, he has found the books used in religious education have not stood the test of the time and several of them have become out of date. He has suggested an integrated curriculum which contains the religious education as well as modern education to modernize the religious education.
The author has also given a very rich bibliography which will be of great help to the future researchers. There are 9 appendices at the end of the book.
