The work of this book titled “Educational technology†has been graded Excellent with the weight age of “A†Grade by Indira Gandhi national Open University, New Delhi. The field of education has been influenced by the increased use of science and technological advancement. This influence is so great and profound that it has given rise to a new discipline called “Educational technology†it implies behavioural science approach to teaching and learning. It makes use of pertinent scientific and technological methods and concepts developed in psychology, sociology, communications, linguistics and other related fields. The incorporation of information technology in the day-to-day activities of students has a strong impact on every aspect of their lives. Through this technology the students get direct information that is continuous, updated, timely and reliable. This can assist them in making more informed decisions especially those involving several variables and more complex relationship among these variables. Today’s students are very much familiar with all devices that help them to proceed life joyful and easy. Students like to play with computers, television and collect information through internet e-mail services are too much familiar among students in particular and society in general. Today’s teachers have to train children to lead a full life in 21st century. The future of education depends, therefore, directly upon the quality if the intermediary inventive minds of teachers and students, their ability to invent and innovative. Hence role of educational technology in educational institution assumes vital importance. Psychological studies have clearly revealed the intimate influence of classroom climate and atmosphere in the creation of a fertile learning environment for students. The students of today’s have as much a more difficult and responsible to play than his predecessor of earlier times. Bearing these facts in mind the authors made an attempt to conduct the present study which was undertaken for post graduate Diploma in Higher education (GDHE), IGNOU, New Delhi. The target population of the study was the undergraduate students, who have a great responsibility to shape the future of the Nationâ€, through classroom teaching. This book entitled “Educational technology†constitutes of five chapters. Chapter one deals with conceptual and contextual part of educational technology as well information technology. Chapter two deals with review of literature of various studies undertaken in the field of educational technology. Chapter three is crucial and significant part of the book. It deals design and procedure of the study which constitutes methodology, the sample, the tool used, methods of attitude measurement, the collection of data and statistical procedure. Chapter fourth deals with the statistical analysis of data. Chapter fifth clearly highlights the finding of the study, conclusion and suggestions which are helpful to the various educationalists, psychologists, sociologists, researchers and other persons who are having keen interest in the field of educational technology.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nasrin
Dr. (Mrs.) Nasrin was born in Agra. She obtained her high school certificate from Smt. B.D. Jain Girls High School, Agra, Intermediate from Queen Victoria Girls International College, Agra, B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Zoology) from Agra university, Agra B.Ed. and M.Ed. from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Dayalbagh, Agra, M.Phil (Education) and Ph.D. (Education) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh Post-Graduate Diploma in Higher education, IGNOU, New Delhi. She has qualified U.G.C. test for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Lectureship in University and Colleges, in the year 1991. She has presented several papers in National and International Conferences in India. She has also attended various Workshop on teaching methods and research. She has published book on ‘Environmental Education’. She has published articles and research papers in various research journals of national and International repute. Recently, she is working as a Senior Lecturer in the department of education, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
