In this encyclopaedia the life and works of great Indian personalities (freedom fighters, social reformers and educationist) have been presented in a very lucid form. This encyclopaedia consists of four volumes. In each volume the life and works of two prominent personalities have been given. The purpose of bringing out this four volumes set of Encyclopaedia of Great Personalities is to present to the reader in a comprehensive form the life sketches and works of these eight prominent leaders at one place. It is hoped that this encyclopaedia will be found very useful and informative to the readers of various walks of life; and it is worth cataloguing in the libraries also.

K.K. Sharma, Ph.D., D.Litt., former Professor of English, University of Allahabad, is currently the Editor of the Scholarly research journal, Points of View.
