The present work attempts a comprehensive plan to survey beyond the limits of early drama. Besides criticism, the details of plot, characters and specimen of the verses of interludes and data is presented to enable the reader to form an independent judgement. The author has examined in detail the contribution of men as Hey wood, Udall, Sackville and kyd and their influence on the English drama with much closer observation with the evolution of the Elizabethan drama.
