This basic skills of reading, writing, learning, reasoning, and general problem solving–including the more sophisticated aspects of reading and learning English–are less emphasized or neglected. It is my hope that my adoption of the style may gain more than it loses by giving a sense of doing a phenomenological investigation and by dealing with it in a lucid language which I have attempted to make thoroughly explicit. This book serves as sensible and practical overture about English language learning and listening skills from an Indian perspective. It has a training-oriented approach well suited to be used as a manual by teachers, trainers, students at the graduate and post-graduate levels as well as in B.Ed. and allied programmes.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Deepa Arora
Mrs. Deepa Arora has been in the teaching profession for more than 15 years. She qualified her Master Degree in English from Delhi University and there onwards started her career in many reputed Schools and Colleges.She has worked with many English and Foreign Language Teaching Institutes like British School of Languages, Swiss School of Language etc. She has also been involved in Curriculum planning and developing activities for stimulating intellectual growth. At present, she is working as an English lecturer in National School of Business Studies. She has also authored many books on English Literature and Personality Development. She has also been consistently contributing her articles for national dailies and Magazines.
