The book is an attempt to provide time series estimates of coefficients of economic relationships such as returns to scale in agriculture, propensities to save, short and long-term marginal propensities to consume, economies/diseconomies in consumption expenditure, expenditure elasticities of demand, income elasticity of public expenditure, presence of shift in tax buoyancy, elasticity of labour productivity, elasticity of tax revenue with respect to tax rates and output and wage rate elasticities of employment for the Indian economy.
