Ethnobiology: Therapeutics and Natural Resources

Dr. A.K. Ghosh—an eminent researcher and a highly experienced teacher, has been working in the areas of senescence, environmental conservation, source-sink relationship of plants, and ethnomedicine, for over two decades, with his field work mainly spread across the West Bengal state of India. Many of his original scientific papers have been published in reputed international journals of India and abroad. This publication offers a selection of 48 of his articles and research papers which incorporate a wealth of indigenous knowledge related to the use of plants in healing of various diseases and ailments and in areas such as beekeeping, dye making, pest management, environmental conservation, and veterinary medicine.
