The success of all the developmental programme initiated for the development of women viz. education, health, small family norm, nutrition, TRYSEM, DWCRA, NREP, RLEGP, ARWSP, ICDS, awareness generation programmes, etc. depends on their active involvement and participation. Effective implementation of these programmes will go in a long way in the removal of social disabilities and inequality faced by the women. Present study is formulated to measure the extent of exposure of women to these selected agencies of mass media viz. T.V., Cinema, Radio, Newspaper and advertisement to find out the association between their personal characteristics and extent of exposure and the influence of the personal characteristics on their exposure to the mass media.
