ABOUT THE AUTHOR Th. Ratankumar Singh

Graduated with Honours in English from Gauhati University and completed the Master's Course from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Th. Ratankumar Singh did his research on Ezra Pound's exploration of language and Images in poetry for his Doctoral thesis in Manipur University. At present, Dr. Th. Ratankumar Singh is working as an Associate Professor in Manipur University in the Department of English and is a widely known Poundian scholar. He has published a number of articles and papers on Pound and literary theories. He has also translated some Manipuri works into English from the assignment of Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi. His first book of poetry Lapsus Calami got the nomination for the Commonwealth Poetry Prize in the year, 1984. He has also been associating with the information and broadcasting services in Doordarshan Kendra, Imphal and earlier he was a News Reader in All India Radio.
