The present book entitled Facts and Foundation in Physical Education is designed to help the reader understand the facts and foundations underlying physical, health and recreation education in the world. It is hoped that through such an understandings, I shall be stimulated to examine myself and to build my own personal philosophies. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a great need for this book. All about us we find programs that are the consequences of inconsistent and illogical thinking. This criticism is not leveled at physical, health, and recreation education only; it is evident as we look at the whole educational system. Whichever may the wind blows, we are apt to find the shaky educational reed inclining. In contrast to many of our current principles texts, no effort will be made to indoctrinate the reader to any particular philosophy. The book introduce the readers to facts and foundations; aims and objectives in physical education. Hence this book will prove as a handbook for the study of physical education for the students of physical education B.P.Ed., and M.Phil. researchers.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR U.C. Gupta
Dr. U.C. Gupta, born on July Ist, 1958 at Budaun in U.P., has master's degree in Commerce & Economics and topped Rohilkhand University, Bareilly in M.Com., awarded with Ph.D. in Commerce in 1986. Dr. Gupta is serving in Higher Education Department of M.P. He has been working as a Professor of Commerce in Govt. P.G. College, Shivpuri (M.P.). A dedicated and popular teacher Dr. Gupta has presented more than thirty research papers and articles in the National and International Seminars. Dr. Gupta has completed one research project sponsored by UGC and is presently working on the other. He has successfully organised National Seminars & Conferences. Dr. Gupta is an active social worker who works for philanthropic causes and has been recently awarded by District Administration for his social work. He has been also awarded with "Governor Award" by the former Governor Award" by the Former Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Gupta has authored many books on various subjects and is presently serving as the Chairman of M.P.-"All India Banking-Telecom and Consumers Association (Regd.)".
