ABOUT THE AUTHOR A. Solaimalai
Dr. A. Solaimalai was born on 15 October 1970. He passed his B.Sc. (Agriculture), M.Sc. (Agronomy) nd Ph.D. (Agronomy) during 1993, 1996 and 1999 from Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore respectively He is a receipt of Prof. Subramanian award for the best thesis in Irrigation agronomy during 2000. He is life member in various scientific societies viz., Indian society of Agronomy, Indian society of Wee Science and Rice Workers Association. He is also serving as research board of advisors in American Biographical Institute. He has 11 research books chapters to his credit. He has presented 21 abstracts in various symposium and seminars. He is now working as Research Associate, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Vridhachalam.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR B. Chandrasekar
Dr. B. Chandrasekar having a brilliant academic career is presently working as Director, TRRI, Aduthurai (T.N.). He has 26 years of experience out of which 8 years served as Professor & Head in Soil and Water Management Institute. He has handled classes on various courses in Agronomy and guided 2 M.Sc. (Ag.) and 6 Ph.D. students. During his career he was the Principal Investigator for 60 research projects. He also received 10 awards and fellowships. He has published more than 70 research papers, 7 books and 240 other publications. He has also visited various countries.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR N. Ravisankar
Dr. N. Ravisankar was born on 10th June 1973. He passed his B.Sc. (Agri.), in distinction during 1994 from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He completed his M.Sc. (Agri.) in agronomy with TNAU Merit scholarship in distinction during 1997 and subsequently complete his Ph.D. in agronomy and with distinction from the Same University during 2003. He is a recipient of member of honors via, Indian Overseas Bank Prize for the Best Student in Agronomy during 1997 and Dr. K.K. Subbaiah award for the best thesis on Rice in Agronomy during 2003 for his outstanding performance in academic and research programme. He is life member in various societies having (international repute, like Indian Society of Agronomy, Indian Society of Weed Science and Andaman Science Association.
