The emerging history of women fertility is a story of disaster and denial-disaster forseen, but disaster psychologically denied in our innermost being. How can one believe in something particularly an unpleasant something that has never happened before. It has been widely assumed that women fertility is one of the root causes of the growing population in the present day world. The central purpose of this book is to present and assess the role of socio-economic factors on women fertility differentials in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
