ABOUT THE AUTHOR Saghir Ahmad Ansari

Saghir Ahmad Ansari (b. 1963) is Reader and Chairman in Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He also served as Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business and Economics, at Ethiopian Civil Service College, Addis Ababa, Ethioia, for three years from September 2001 to August 2004 under United Nations Development Programme. He has a brilliant academic record. He has earlier written a book on Financial Intermediaries in India. He has contributed a number of articles in national and international journals. His areas of interest are Banking and Finance, Monetary Economics and Industrial Economics.
