Kerala is the natural home of many of our crop plants & their wild relatives, besides a large number of medicinal & other economically important species which is shrinking rapidly leading to lose of native bio-diversity. Keeping this in mind a flouristic study of the Kerala Forests is the most urgent need of the day hence the author chose Nilambur on the spring board.
