The book deals with a detailed account of 58 genera and 160 species of family Acanthaceae and Euphorbiaceae of the state. Artificial keys for all the genera and species are provided to facilitate easy identification. Correct nomenclature, detailed description, ecological notes, flowering and fruiting period and distribution pattern is provided for every species in the state. Besides 29 line drawings, 50 distribution maps and economic uses are also given. Special attention has been given to rare plants of the area. It is hoped that the present book will be very useful for teachers, students, foresters, naturalists, horticulturists and research workers in various field of plant sciences.
