Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a subject of topical interest. Countries of the world, particularly developing economies, are vying with each other to attract foreign capital to boost their domestic rates of investment and also to acquire new technology and managerial skills. Intense competition is taking place among the fund-starved less developed countries to lure foreign investors by offering repatriation facilities, tax concessions and other incentives. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Niti Sury

Niti Sury did her B.Com. (Hons.) from Indraprastha College for Women, university of Delhi. She secured the first position among the successful candidates in the M.Com. Examination held by the University of Delhi in 2000. She has also completed her M.Phil. from the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, university of Delhi. She has contributed articles on Presently, she is teaching at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, Delhi.
