The book is written in simple and lucid language and descriptions are supported by suitable examples and figures to make them easily understandable. Apart from dealing the basic fish behaviour and ecological relations, population studies, genetics and hybridization etc. Where-ever necessary, references are cited for authentication of the subject matter. For the benefit of our students more emphasis has been given on tropical freshwater species. Inclusion of over 400 technical terms should be an added attraction of the book.
