ABOUT THE AUTHOR Prabin Kumar Panigrahi

Dr. Prabin K Panigrahi is a Faculty Member in the area of Information Systems at Indian Institute of Management Indore. He received the Master degree in Computer Applications (MCA) from the Department of Computer Science, Engineering, & Applications, Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, India. He completed his Ph D on â€œFuzzy Object-Oriented Database Systemsâ€ at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Prior to joining IIM, Indore, he taught at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar and Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai. He has international as well as national research publications in refereed journals as well as in edited books. His teaching and research interests include management Information systems, database management systems, data mining, and knowledge discovery in databases, data warehousing, decision support systems, advanced data analysis and systems analysis and design. He has coauthored a book â€œModern Systems Analysis and Design, 4/eâ€ (Pearson Education India) with J A Hoffer, J F George, and J S Valacich. He has visited UK and did a research on micro-planning tools for poverty alleviation under Indo-British Higher Educaiton Link Programme at University of Wales, UK. He is an active life member of The Institution of Electronics and Telecom Engineers (IETE), and Computer Society of India (CSI).
