ABOUT THE AUTHOR Swapna Banerjee

Mrs. Swapna Banerjee, Msc., M.Lib. sc, Ph.D. is the Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Calcutta. She had served in the Indian Museum Library for a considerable period. She has a long teaching record in many Universities in India. She has considerable publication record, including books and a numbers of articles, conference papers, and course materials for distance education in both Library Science and Botany. A scholar to the tip of her fingers, Dr. Banerjee never has any aspiration for office of power. She is the member of IASLIC, Asiatic Society, WBCLA, BLA, and a member of Board of Studies of the Netji Subhas Open University.
