Global economy in the 20th century witnessed the gradual liberalization of trade and capital flows. This was followed by a deeper version of globalization, mainly attributed to technological changes and politico-economic liberalization creating a world, that is more unified than ever before. Globalization is one of the biggest challenges facing world markets today. It is to be seen as both a challenge and an opportunity, since it means the opening up of world markets. Exports, an important constituent of international trade have acquired much importance in the modern era of economic liberalization. The trend towards market economy in almost all countries of the world has increased the significance of exports. With the liberalization policies adopted in recent times, discussions towards multilateral equitable trading system propounded by GATT and subsequently WTO, new opportunities have opened up in terms of market access to member countries. This book provides a comprehensive analysis of the emerging trends in exports and also the changing global export scenario as it evolved in the post globalization era. It also provides insights into the impact of these emerging trends on the export pattern of both developed and developing countries across the globe, in the form of well-written articles by experts in a synchronized format. The book, it is hoped, will serve as a valuable reference for scholars, entrepreneurs, export firms, administrators, policy makers, and those interested in vital movements of exports of goods and services.
