P.G. Jogdand is Professor and Head, Department of Sociology, University of Mumbai. His previous publications include Dalit Movement in Maharashtra, Dalit Women: Issues and Perspectives, and New Economic Policy and Dalits. He has also published several papers on human rights and empowerment of weaker sections.

Dr. S M Michael SVD is the Professor of Cultural Anthropology, University of Mumbai. He is the Chairman of the Bombay Archdiocesan Commision for Inter-Religious Dialogue and is a Consulter to the Pontifical Council for Culture.
