This work is based on a new theme and ideology, for catering the much felt need for reference and consultation for studies and research of Plants in botany, medicine, biology, forestry, environment and allied fields. The work is on medicinal plants of India and adjacent regions in the form of catalogues or index in style of enumeration that specially incorporates recent name changes in botanical names. Plants which are used as drugs in medicine and allied plants are given with old/current/revised botanical nomenclature alongwith families.
