This book attempts to address the challenge of Hindutva in India and the Christian response to it. Investigating the origin, nature and development of Hindutva, it describes in detail the Hindutva ideology and strategy.
Further analyzing the agony and the self-assertion of the Dalits, it examines the theological approaches towards Dalit Christian theology and surveys the key articulations of Dalit Christian theology, including methodological exclusivism and theological inclusivism, caste-class approach, communitarian approach, counter-cultural approach, human self-development approach, contextual approach to morals, Dalit identity approach, feminist approach and Dalit hermeneutical approach. It also presents Christians’ Trinitarian vision of God, humankind and human society in response to the challenge of Hindutva.
