Historical Value of the Qur’an and the Hadith

The sole objective of this work "Historical Value of the Qur’an and the Hadith" is to focus on historical importance of early Islamic scriptures—the Qur’an and the Hadith. The Qur’an and the Hadith, as a historical source, has its peculiar qualities. It was revealed directly to the Prophet who stood for the foundation and propagation of Islam and was during his life-time committed to writing as well. It was revealed to the Prophet during a long span of time, in Mecca as well as in Medina, and hence it contains references to almost all major developments in the early period of Islam.
