The Present volume 'History and Culture of Orissa : A comprehensive study on Khinjali Mandala' presents an exhaustive account on Khinjali Mandala, a prominent feudatory state of medieval Orissa. Along with this it also narrates in details about the historical geography of almost all the mandala states. The main aim of this work is to determine the importance of the Bhanja ruling family of Khinjali Mandala and to accord them a high and honourable place in the history of Orissa. So it reflect on the genealogy, chronology, dynastic history, administration etc in a comprehensive form. Along with the description of the socio-economic and cultural life of Khinjali kingdom it also highlights on the social system of Orissa in the medieval period.
