History of Journalism

Supatro Ghose started his journalism career in 1951 and since then has mostly covered politics and war. He has reported through war, strife and political upsurges. His writings have evoked response and given right effect. A hardliner for the freedom of press and expression in general, Supatro believed in self censorship of press and a responsible behaviour of media persons. He maintained that they had a basic responsibility towards common people.
