Homeopathic principles & practice of medicine, written by dr. V.k. chauhan & dr. Meeta gupta, is a handbook to meet the requirements of homeopathic medical students and practitioners which deals with the basic and comprehensive approach to the treatment planning, which one must adopt in the beginning of a given clinical condition. The standard homeopathic drugs which are used, have been mentioned in each topic. Also, certain emergency allopathic drugs are mentioned so that homeopaths are aware of them and don’t stop them. A separate section on emergency have also been included. For the convenience of students, the book has been divided into 3 broad sections: i. Principles of homeopathic practice; il. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Meeta Gupta
Dr. Meeta Gupta is B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) from Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi and is pursuing M.D. in Materia Medica. She has also done P.G.D.H.A. (Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Administration) from Y.M.C.A., New Delhi. She also has M.Sc. (Ecology and Environment) from Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi. She is presently working as Medical Officer in Dr. B. R. Sur Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Govt. of Delhi which keeps her actively involved in clinical, teaching, research and administrative activities with a practical and scientific orientation towards homeopathy. She has co-authored many books on homeopathy with Dr. V.K. Chauhan.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.K. Chauhan
Dr. V. K. Chauhan is working as Professor in Medicine and Pediatrics at Nehru Homeopathic Medical College, Delhi. He joined this prestigious institution as Demonstrator in 1977 and subsequently rose to become Professor. He has undergone continuous training at various prestigious institutions in India, U.K., and U.S.A. He is M.D. in Repertory. He is currently involved at institutional level in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at different institutions. He conducts Weekly Clinical Meet with interns, H.P. & Registrars. He is also working as indoor incharge and also as unit incharge and is involved in indoor patient care. In outdoor patient department, he conducts OPD on Arthritis. He also helps the Head of Institution in administrative activities. He is also Superintendent, Examinations for BHMS Examination of Delhi University. He frequently participates & contributes in CME of various organizations. He is External Examiner & Paper Setter in the subject of Medicine and Anatomy, Punjab University. He is member of Delhi Homeopathic Anusandhan Parishad and has co-authored many books on homeopathy alone and with Dr. Meeta Gupta. He has been awarded State Award 2006, Delhi Govt., for his untiring work in the field of Homeopathy.
